Staying up to date with guidelines is so important to ensure a smooth move when the date finally comes. With recent government guideline changes, we thought it was worth breaking the new rules down.

We’re proud to be able to say that thanks to the diligence of our staff, suppliers and customers, non of our team, or their immediate families, have contracted COVID-19. We wanted to share the latest guidance for people moving house in the Rugby and Lutterworth areas;

Following the emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, it is necessary to re-introduce some measures to manage the virus. This guidance sets out what these measures are and what you should do to protect yourself and others.

The housing market in England remains open. This means that people looking to move home can both continue with planned moves and view new properties to move into in the future. Estate and letting agents, removers, valuers, and people in sales and letting offices and show homes can continue working. Everyone should follow the guidance below to keep themselves and others safe.

Under the new rules, anyone who isn’t full vaccinated is legally required to stay home and self-isolate for at least five full days if someone in their household tests positive, and this is still in place even if it means missing a moving in date, whether purchase or rental.

However, if someone tests positive in a household yet they have been fully vaccinated, they can keep with their original moving date. They are however ‘strongly advised’ to take a lateral flow every day for seven days. At Cadman Homes

The new guidance applies to both buyers and renters aged over 18 years and six months, however those under that age do not have to follow them. The rules affect those who are not fully vaccinated, which is defined as having both doses of a two dose vaccine.
